This Young Career Focus presents Sukalyan Bhadra (CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, India).
Sukalyan Bhadra received both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry from the University of Calcutta (India) and a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (India). After two subsequent postdoctoral stints – at TU Kaiserslautern (Germany) and Chubu University (Japan) – he began his independent research career in 2016 at CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute Bhavnagar (India) where he currently works as a Senior Scientist. He is the recipient of the Green Talent Award (2010), a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (2013), the DST-INSPIRE Faculty Award (2016) and the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award (2023), among others.
