Professor Ei-ichi Negishi

Professor Ei-ichi Negishi, received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2010 for the development of palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions, that allow for easy and efficient synthesis of complex organic compounds. Prof. Negishi contributed several chapters to Science of Synthesis related to this topic over the years (details below). He passed away in June 2021.
