Interview with Thomas Poisson

This Young Career Focus presents Thomas Poisson (INSA-Rouen, France).

Thomas Poisson received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the University of Rouen (France) under the mentorship of Dr. Vincent Levacher. Afterwards, he joined the group of Professor Shū Kobayashi at Tokyo University (Japan) as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow from 2008–2010. In 2010, he moved to Germany to work in the group of Professor Magnus Rueping (RWTH Aachen University) as a postdoctoral fellow. In September 2011, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at INSA-Rouen (France), within the group of ‘Fluorinated Biomolecules Synthesis’ where he defended his habilitation in 2015 and was elected as a Distinguished Junior Fellow of the French Chemical Society (SCF). In 2017, he is one of the Thieme Chemistry Journals Awardees and was also nominated Junior Member of the ‘Institut Universitaire de France’ (IUF).
