Interview with Hideki Yorimitsu

SYNFORM presents an interview with Hideki Yorimitsu (Kyoto University, Japan). Hideki Yorimitsu obtained both his B.Eng. (1997) and his PhD (2002) from Kyoto University. He then served as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow with Professor Eiichi Nakamura at The University of Tokyo (Japan). He became an Assistant Professor in 2003 and an Associate Professor in 2008 in the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University. Since 2015 he is Full Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science of the same university. His research program focuses on the development of new organic transformations for creating new molecules, phenomena, and concepts. Among others, he has received the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award (2006), the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists (2009), the Mukaiyama Award (2016), and the Negishi Award (2018).


Hideki Yorimitsu joined the Editorial Board of SYNTHESIS in January 2019.
