Breaking Barriers Through Chemistry (Virtual) Conference

We are happy to announce the 1st Annual Breaking Barriers Through Chemistry (Virtual) Conference sponsored by Thieme Chemistry - promoting collaboration with Mexican scientists from all areas of chemistry.

Date: The virtual event will take place on August 2nd-6th, 2021.

Description: The goal of this inaugural conference is to bring together professors from all areas of chemistry to establish, strengthen, and promote research collaborations between institutions in Mexico, United States, and Europe. 

Unique to this inaugural conference is a major focus on:

  1. Showcasing the academic journey of leading scientists from Latin America;
  2. Providing advice and highlight research opportunities to the next generation of chemists; and
  3. Establish new research collaborations among teams of scientists from diverse expertise.

Overall, we expect that students from all levels will learn about existing programs/fellowships that supported international research opportunities and help pave the way for leading scientists to establish unique research programs. 

Social Hour: In addition, this conference will provide a unique opportunity for all students, postdocs, and faculty to socialize with all of the speakers during the daily social hour to discuss potential research opportunities and collaborations. As such, we encourage you to attend to all sessions of the conference and to participate in the virtual social hour (held via gather.town) to interact with the speakers. Upon registration, participants will receive details and link to the social event.
