Thorsten Bach receives Emil-Fischer-Medal for the development and application of new synthetic methods

The SYNTHESIS Editor is awarded with 7500 Euro for his exceptional achievements in the field of catalytic, thermal and photochemical chemistry.

At the 21st ORCHEM conference, SYNTHESIS editor Prof. Dr. Thorsten Bach will receive the Emil-Fischer-Medal. His achievements in the field of catalytic, thermal and photochemical processes will be honored at the conference, which takes place at the Technical University in Berlin (September 10 – 12, 2018). Following the award ceremony, Bach will give a lecture to present his latest research results.

Thorsten Bach was born 1965 in Ludwigshafen in Germany and studied chemistry at the Heidelberg University and the University of Southern Carolina, Los Angeles. Afterwards, he completed his doctorate at the University of Marburg. Since 2000, Bach is professor at the Technical University of Munich.
